Why did I even start this quirky, undiscovered blog? Read on.
Okay, you know how annoying small talk can be... "Where are you from? What do you do? Where you you work?" Don't get me wrong, these conversations do have their place especially when speaking with a total stranger. However wouldn't it be great if we could also get to know the person, too--not only their plans? "What do you think about gay marriage? How would you react if you were President and their was a nuclear threat?" Of course it may take time to warm up to these sort of deep questions, but the heart behind them is to get to know the person. Perhaps "Why you like your job? What have you learned there?" etc. Or something along those lines. What I hope to provide through this blog is not just the trivial outside events of life, but discuss real issues and provide a source for a stance on the situation. I want to talk more about abstract ideas! Of course I have my own life dreams of where I want to go and what I want to do. But there is a lot going on inside of me. I'm a learning, growing human being in terms of character, values and actions based on beliefs.Writing is a perfect way for me to express how I'm feeling. I describe what I feel on the inside and cope. Other times it helps me discover what it is I'm feeling. It's how I gain my voice in the world by forming sentences and creating a fluent thought. It's pretty much therapeutic. In other words, I want to tell you what's going on inside my head and heart so we can all be more understanding of one another as fellow human beings.
Technology is so amazing. You and I, no matter how far apart we are, can communicate via camera, screen, microphone and satellite connection; and these things are everywhere! How amazing would it be if we could learn about each other and gain understanding about people and their cultures, customs, ways of living and beliefs. I honestly believe that if this sort of thing exists right now for me to use, then I ought to make good use of it!
I definitely plan to document my life- my situation, my sense of style, my favorite things to do or make, and places I go for staying in touch with family, friends, and connecting with other people based on similar interests.
